What it is: Shampoo bars are solid shampoos that are specially formulated to cleanse, moisturize, protect and repair hair and the scalp beneath. They are made with specific butters and oils that nourish the hair while gently cleansing the hair. As an added bonus, they don’t strip the hair of needed moisture and keep the pH balanced, so no need for an apple cider vinegar rinse! This shampoo bar is formulated for dry and textured hair.
Why that’s awesome: well, to the apple cider vinegar rinse thing, have you tried to keep a bottle of vinegar in your shower? Not great. And it burns when you get it in your eyes. Which Mrs. Soap & Clay always does. To the rest of it, shampoo bars last much longer than a bottle of shampoo, keep your hair healthy and nourished, have exceptional lather and cleaning properties without the aide of artificial bubblers and synthetics, and don’t contribute another plastic bottle to the world. Each shampoo bar will last 60ish washes and will keep your hair awesome and healthy. Pair with our new conditioner bars for your best hair day ever.
Instructions for use: Wet hair, wet bar. Apply bar directly to scalp, working a few strokes down the length. Use your fingertips to work up an amazing lather, let it sit or don’t, rinse clean. Follow up with a hair mask or conditioner if desired – your call.

- Suds On: Hold the bar under running water to moisten it. Apply to moistened skin using a washcloth, shower pouf, loofah. Alternatively, you can go rogue and apply the bar directly to your skin. This is Mrs Soap & Clay’s preferred method. Massage the lather over skin in circular motions.
- Suds Off: Rinse your skin thoroughly with water.
- Suds Storage: Place the bar in a dry area or on a draining soap dish to let it air dry between uses.
Follow up with a nourishing lotion bar or balm, if desired.

Shipping – Soap & Clay strives to deliver our awesome soaps to our awesome customers as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. For in stock items, we guarantee that your order will be processed and will leave our facility within 72 hours of order acceptance. You will receive shipment notifications once that occurs. Custom orders and backorders fall outside of this policy, however; we will contact you with a shipping timeline and estimate in these instances.
We are happy to provide ground shipping (US orders only) free of charge on all soap orders exceeding $75. For orders under $75, a flat rate of $9.95 shipping charge will be added to your order total at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges – Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges on used products. If you received the wrong item from your order we will be happy exchange it for you, as long as it has not been used or unsealed. If you’re unhappy with our product in any way, please reach out so we can work to resolve.
Will Calls & Refunds – For local Sudsers wishing to pick their products up at the shop, we are happy to oblige! We offer a will call selection in the order process, and will hold will call orders for three weeks. If you have not collected your order or made other arrangements in that timeframe, we will consider the order abandoned and will not issue refunds for any custom or limited edition products.
Product Substitutions – Our inventory is constantly changing, and the majority of our products are limited editions held through a month or a season. As such, from time to time an item that you ordered may be out of stock before the website has a chance to catch up with inventory. Unless otherwise directed, we will substitute the replacement product for the item in question.
